Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need any previous experience?

No.

What is required of me?

You have to take 4 - 8 running steps alongside your pilot on the take-off, that's about all!

What should I bring?

If you have them, shoes which you can run a few steps in.

What will a flight cost?

Your Tandem Hang Glide is 235 CHF (Swiss Francs) For payment we accept Cash, Credit Cards (with a 2.5% processing fee) or Bitcoin.

How do we take-off, fly and land?

After a pre-flight briefing from your Pilot, we take 4 -8 running steps side by side down the grassy slope. As the airspeed increases the glider gently lifts you into the air. The passenger and Pilot fly side by side. If you like you can take control for a bit (not at all required). Landing is just like an airplane, we roll on the wheels into a grassy pasture.

Is there any age restriction?

We have flown with passengers aged from 4 to 85. If you are under 16 you need your parents consent.

Is there a weight limit?

Our weight limit for passengers is about 95kg (210lbs) although this is dependent on the launch winds at the time of the flight and will be assessed by the Pilot. In the snowy winter the weight limit is 85kg.

What weather conditions do we need to fly?

Due to Interlaken's unique meteorological climate for Hang Gliding, there are very few days that we cannot fly and we are available everyday throughout the year. It doesn't have to be sunny for a great flight.

How far in advance do I need to reserve a flight?

There are really no rules on this one. It is helpful to make a booking with a couple of days notice, just be advised that if you wait too long we could be full. For groups, please book at least a few days in advance.
